How to Schedule Your First Video Visit at Washington County Detention Center (WCDC)
Scheduling your first video visit at Washington County Detention Center is straightforward once you know which type to choose. Here's how to pick between onsite and remote, book within the allowed window, and avoid common timing issues.
WCDC offers two video visitation options. For an onsite visit, head to the Washington County Justice Center at 108 West Jackson Blvd., Jonesborough, TN 37659 during onsite hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and use their equipment. For a remote visit from home, go to www.inmatesales.com and follow the scheduling directions there.
Onsite visitor limits: For onsite video visits, visitors must be 18 or older. If you’re under 18, you’ll need to be accompanied by an adult, and a single onsite session can include up to two adults and two children.
Book within WCDC's scheduling window: at least 24 hours before your appointment, but no more than 7 days in advance. Each session - remote or onsite - lasts 20 minutes.

- Bring a valid photo ID - You’ll need it to set up your onsite visitation access.

- Schedule your visit using the kiosk account - Once your account is created, you’ll be given the option to schedule visit(s).

Remote visits cost $0.20 per minute. Sessions are available seven days a week during two windows: 8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

Finding a time that works for you is only half the equation - the inmate has to be available too. If they're in court, assigned to trustee duties, meeting with an attorney, or enrolled in a program, they won't be eligible for a video visit during that time. Try to schedule around known obligations, and be ready to pick a different slot if availability shifts.
Plans change - just handle cancellations early. WCDC expects visitors to arrive on time. If you can't make it, cancel through the link in your confirmation email or call 423-753-1701 as soon as possible.
