Three Ways to Put Money on an Inmate's Account at Waukesha County Jail
Want to put money on someone's account at Waukesha County Jail? You've got three options: the lobby kiosk, mailing in approved funds, or using ConnectNetwork online or by phone.
Waukesha County Jail accepts deposits three ways. In person, there's a public lobby kiosk available during normal visitation hours. From home, you can deposit online through ConnectNetwork or call to make a deposit by phone.
Note: The lobby kiosk charges a vendor service fee per deposit, and ConnectNetwork deposits also include a company fee.
The lobby kiosk is located in the public lobby and is available to use during normal visitation hours. At the kiosk, you can deposit with cash, a MasterCard or Visa credit card, or a debit card.
Need the money available right away? The kiosk is your fastest option - deposits post immediately and are available as soon as you complete the transaction.
- ✓ $5.00–$20.00 deposit: $3.95 vendor service fee
- ✓ $20.01–$100.00 deposit: $4.95 vendor service fee
- ✓ $100.01–$200.00 deposit: $5.95 vendor service fee
Mailing money? Pay close attention to how you address it. The jail won't accept funds addressed directly to a specific inmate. Cash and personal checks sent by mail are also rejected.
- ✓ Certified check
- ✓ Cashier’s check
- ✓ Money order
Mail certified checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders to: Waukesha County Jail Attention: Correctional Services Assistant P.O. Box 0217 Waukesha, WI 53187-0217
On the "Pay to the order of" line, write it exactly as: "Waukesha County Jail FBO Inmate's Name." For example: "Waukesha County Jail FBO John Doe."
ConnectNetwork lets you deposit online without visiting the jail. Prefer the phone? Call 800-483-8314 to make a deposit.
For commissary or general account deposits, look for the Trust Fund option in ConnectNetwork. Select Waukesha County Jail, choose "Trust Fund," and enter facility site ID 206 when prompted.
- ✓ Inmate’s last name
- ✓ Inmate’s date of birth
- ✓ Expect a company fee on ConnectNetwork deposits
Need money available immediately? The lobby kiosk posts deposits right away, though you'll pay a vendor service fee. ConnectNetwork works well when you can't get to the jail in person - just expect a company fee. Mailing a certified check, cashier's check, or money order avoids kiosk fees, but it takes longer since you're waiting on mail delivery and processing.
- Use the lobby kiosk for urgent deposits - funds post immediately, so it’s the best choice when they need money available right away.
- Mail a money order/cashier’s check when you have time - send only approved forms (certified check, cashier’s check, or money order) and allow time for mailing and posting.
- Use ConnectNetwork (online or phone) for convenience - it’s a practical option when you can’t get to the kiosk, just plan for the company fee.
