Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID. You’ll need it at check-in for admission, and without it you may not be allowed to visit.

  1. Receive your Visitor Badge - staff issue a Visitor Badge to all visitors during check-in.
  2. Wear it the entire time - you must keep the badge on throughout your visit.
  3. Return it when you’re done - give the badge back to the officer when the visit is completed.

You'll go through security screening before entering. All visitors at Waupaca County Jail are subject to wand or pat searches at any time - leave anything questionable at home.

Lockers-and-responsibility

  • Store your belongings in the lockers provided for visitors.
  • Or lock your items in your vehicle before you go inside.

Note: Waupaca County Jail is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

Plan your group before you arrive. Only four people total (including children) may visit at one time.

If you’re bringing minors, make sure the right adult is with them. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during visits.

Important: Children under 10 must be supervised at all times and may not be left unattended in the lobby or other areas of the Sheriff’s Office.

Staff can turn you away if you appear intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or behave disruptively. If there's any chance that could be an issue, reschedule - it's better than being denied at the door.
