Starting a Huber Sentence at Waupaca County Jail: Fees, Documents, and What to Bring
Starting a Huber sentence goes smoothly when you show up with the right paperwork, payments ready, and only what the jail allows. Here's your prep checklist for Waupaca County Jail.
First step: meet with a Corrections Sergeant in person to establish your sentence start date. Head to the front lobby of the Waupaca County Law Enforcement Center - this can't be done over the phone or through someone else.
You can establish your start date Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Show up outside those hours and you'll likely have to come back another day. Build in extra time for travel and any unexpected delays.
Waupaca County Jail charges a $25.00 booking fee for everyone booked into the facility, per County Ordinance 6.0. Even if your focus is getting Huber set up, don't let this fee catch you off guard.
Starting with Huber Law privileges? There's a weekly fee of $140.00. This must be paid before any work release is granted - you can't start working and pay later.
Documentation Submission
- ✓ Submit your work schedule one week prior to starting your sentence (for verification).
- ✓ Submit drivers information one week prior to starting your sentence (for verification): a valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle registration, and proof of insurance.
What to Bring Reporting
- ✓ Three sets of clothing
- ✓ One jacket
- ✓ One pair of shoes
Note: Beyond the clothing, jacket, and one pair of shoes listed above, no other items are allowed into the facility when you report as a Huber inmate.
- Have your weekly Huber fee ready - the $140.00 weekly fee has to be paid before any work release is granted.
- Get your work schedule together early - it must be submitted one week before you start so it can be verified.
- Gather your driver documents - one week before you start, submit your valid driver’s license, proof of registration, and proof of insurance for verification.
You're limited to three sets of clothing, one jacket, and one pair of shoes when you report. Plan your outfits around your work schedule and the season. Need more than the allowed amount? That'll have to be handled after you're in custody - not on day one.
