How to Schedule a Video Visit at Wayne County Jail (step-by-step)

Scheduling a video visit at Wayne County Jail is straightforward once you know the steps. You'll sign in to the GettingOut system (or create an account), search for the person you want to visit, open their Visit page, and select Online Video Visit. From there, pick your date, time of day, and visit length, then choose an available slot. Confirm the request, accept the ViaPath terms, and you're done.

Start by signing in at GettingOut.com (go) or the Go Visits app. Use the email and password tied to your account. You'll need to be logged in before you can search for the inmate or schedule anything.

1. Enter the location details: Choose the country, state, and facility where the inmate is housed.
2. Type the inmate’s name: Enter their name in the search window.
3. Select the correct result: Tap or click the right match to open their Visit page.

On the Visit page, choose the visit type. To schedule from home, select Online Video Visit.

Next, pick your preferred date. The calendar will only show days that are available.

Once you've chosen a date, select the time of day and the visit length. You might see options like a "Morning" window with a 15-minute session, depending on what's available.

With those options set, the system displays available time slots. Pick the specific slot you want to lock in your visit.

Before your visit is finalized, you'll see the ViaPath Terms and Conditions. Read through them and check all three boxes. The "I Agree" button won't become clickable until all three are checked.

After selecting your time slot, GTL go will pull up a visit request confirmation screen. Review the details and finalize by selecting Confirm Video Visit.

If the system prompts you for the ViaPath Terms and Conditions during confirmation, handle that step before anything else gets saved. Check the three boxes, wait for the "I Agree" button to activate, then select I Agree to proceed.
