Sending Money

How to Send Money to Facility

Sending money typically comes down to two options: an in-person kiosk in the public lobby or an approved electronic transfer service. Here's what's available based on the facility information we have, plus what to double-check before you send funds.

To send money to someone at the Women's Correctional Center (WCC), you have two options. You can deposit funds directly into an inmate's account using the kiosk in the Public Lobby. There's also an electronic route: the SecureDeposit system operated by Keefe Commissary Network, which allows the public to transfer money to inmates online.

If you're using the WCC Public Lobby kiosk, bring cash. The kiosk accepts $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills.

Lobby hours for deposits and pick ups vary by facility. At WCC, the Public Lobby is open for inmate account deposits and pick ups Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At the Main Institution (Hampden County Correctional Center), the Public Lobby handles inmate account deposits and pick ups Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Steps to Follow

  • If you are depositing money at WCC, use the kiosk in the Public Lobby.
  • If you are sending money electronically, use the SecureDeposit system operated by Keefe Commissary Network.
  • Go during lobby hours for inmate account deposits and pick ups: WCC is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Main Institution (Hampden County Correctional Center) is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Before using SecureDeposit (Keefe), confirm which payment methods are accepted for your transaction. Facility information lists cash, credit card, or ATM card as options, but what's actually available may depend on how you're sending the money and current system availability.

Planning to deposit in person? Verify the basics before you head out: that the kiosk is available in the Public Lobby, that it still accepts $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills, and that the lobby schedule for deposits and pick ups hasn't changed. Hours and lobby procedures can shift, so check the facility's official information sources for the latest days and times at WCC and the Main Institution.

Reminder: The details above cover the WCC kiosk option, listed lobby hours for deposits and pick ups, and the SecureDeposit (Keefe) transfer option. If timing, bill denominations, or payment methods matter for your situation, verify them directly with the facility before making the trip or submitting a transfer.
