How to Use GettingOut for Emails and Photos with a WVRJ Inmate

WVRJ uses GettingOut.com for all inmate emails and photos. Everything you send gets reviewed by jail staff before delivery - so keep that in mind when writing messages or choosing pictures.

Creating a GettingOut account is free. You only pay when you actually send something - the system charges credits for each email or photo.

Want your loved one to have credits on their end? Family and friends can add funds to an inmate's account through ConnectNetwork.com. Those funds let the inmate send emails and receive emails and photos.

WVRJ has deployed tablets to each inmate housing unit. Inmates use these tablets to read and send emails to people with approved accounts.

Inmates at WVRJ can receive both emails and photos through GettingOut. When they reply, they can only send emails - photos can't be sent from the inmate side.

• ✓ Follow the email and photo guidelines closely - at WVRJ, failing to follow the rules can result in your account being cancelled.

1. Check your credits first - emails cost $0.25 each and photos cost $0.25 each, so make sure you have enough before you hit send.
2. Add funds if needed - you can purchase credits, and family/friends can also place funds into the inmate’s account through ConnectNetwork.com so credits are available.
3. Send your email or photo - once credits are in place, send your message knowing each item uses a credit.
