How Inmates Can Send Money Out and How to Deposit Money: Wicomico County's $50 Disbursement Rule
Inmates at Wicomico County Detention Center can send money out from their inmate account, but there's a limit. They can mail out up to two disbursements per month, with a maximum of $50 each. The inmate needs to submit a Funds Disbursement Form to Inmate Accounts to process the request.
Reminder: When the inmate turns in a Funds Disbursement Form for a mail-out, they must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
If the inmate needs to send more than $50, there’s an exception for bill or account payments. Amounts greater than $50 can be approved when the payment is going to a company for something owed, but the check has to be made payable directly to that company (not to an individual).
Families and friends have three options for depositing money into an inmate's account at Wicomico County Detention Center. Each method has specific instructions - what information to include, where to send it - so check the detention center's money/deposit information page for details on the option you plan to use.
Warning: Money orders are no longer accepted for inmate commissary accounts at Wicomico County Detention Center.

For outgoing money, stick to the facility's process: the inmate completes a Funds Disbursement Form and submits it to Inmate Accounts. Remember the limits - two mail-outs per month, $50 max each. If you're helping them get paperwork together, make sure they include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the form. Without it, the request won't be processed.
