How to Schedule a Visit at Wicomico County Detention Center (Step-by-Step)

Each inmate at Wicomico County Detention Center is allowed one scheduled visit per week. Visits max out at 20 minutes and are strictly timed, so plan ahead and be ready to start the moment your slot begins.
That one visit can include 1 adult and up to 2 children (under age 18). Any children you bring must stay with the adult the entire time.
To schedule a visit, call Front Reception at 410-548-4850, Ext. 333. All scheduling is done by phone, and the facility only takes those calls on specific days.
Call on Wednesday or Thursday during these windows: 08:00 to 11:30, and 12:30 to 14:00. If you call outside those hours, you'll need to try again during the next available window.
What Info Before Calling
- ✓ An approved government identification card that includes your photo and current address (you must produce this at each visit)
- ✓ The inmate’s full name (so Front Reception can pull up the correct visitation information)
- ✓ Your full name and who you are to the inmate
- ✓ Your preferred day and time based on the posted visitation slots
You can only schedule visits for the current week. Once the schedule fills up, no changes will be made, so choose your slot carefully. Unscheduled visits are not allowed. If you show up without a scheduled time, you'll be turned away.
Plan your arrival carefully. You can show up no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled visit, and you must leave the facility once the visit ends. The detention center does not allow anyone to wait in the lobby during a visit.
Late arrivals: Time slots are strictly enforced. If you or the inmate is late, the visit will not be extended or rescheduled.
Friday visitation slots include: AB 08:00 to 11:00, AC 13:00 to 14:00, AA 14:00 to 15:00, SMU3 16:00 to 17:00, and D Block 17:00 to 18:00.
Saturday visitation slots include: B Block 08:00 to 14:00, SMU1 14:00 to 15:00, SMU2 16:00 to 17:00, and Medical 16:00 to 17:00 (A Block Visitation Room).
