How to Set Up Phone Calls from an Inmate at William P. Clemens Unit: Registration, Payment Options, and Calling Rules

Before you can receive calls from someone at the William P. Clemens Unit, your phone number must be registered through the Texas Inmate Telephone Friends & Family enrollment online. Skip this step, and calls won't go through - even if the person inside is dialing your number.

Have the inmate’s TDCJ ID number ready when you register. The enrollment process uses that ID to match your phone number to the correct person, so you’ll want to confirm you’re entering it exactly as listed.

TDCJ's Inmate Telephone System gives you three ways to pay. Collect calls let you accept charges when the inmate calls. A Friends & Family prepaid account lets you deposit money ahead of time to cover call costs. Or you can use Securus Debit - money deposited into the inmate's account that they use for calling.
