Worcester County Jail's Dress Code: What You Can and Cannot Wear to Visits
Dress code is one of the easiest ways a visit can get derailed, whether you're heading in person or logging on for a video session. Dress conservatively and avoid the most common problem items, and you're much more likely to get through check-in (or stay connected on video) without any issues.
Worcester County Jail expects visitors to dress appropriately. Nothing sheer, nothing overly revealing, nothing provocative. Show up in an outfit that pushes those boundaries and you risk being turned away at the door. That same conservative approach applies to video visits. Video session rules specifically prohibit tight-fitting or provocative clothing, so even if you're visiting from home, dress like you're walking through the front lobby.
- ✓ No tank-top style tops (shoulders and midriffs must be covered)
- ✓ No skirts or dresses with a hemline above the knee
- ✓ No shorts with a hemline above the half-thigh
- ✓ No sheer clothing
- ✓ No excessively revealing clothing
Plan to leave outer layers behind. Outer garments or coats of any kind are prohibited, and all hooded clothing is banned unless an exception applies. If you tend to grab a hoodie out of habit, swap it for a non-hooded top before you go.
- ✓ No baggy pants or shorts, or pants or shorts with excessive pockets
- ✓ No army fatigues, sweats, or uniforms
- ✓ No outer garments or coats
- ✓ No hooded clothing
Keep jewelry simple. Worcester County Jail only allows wedding bands and medical alert bracelets. If you normally wear earrings, a watch, bracelets, or multiple rings, leave them at home. You don't want to be stuck removing items at the door.
Note: Face or head coverings are not allowed unless they are worn for religious or medical reasons, and they are searched before you enter.
Don't assume video visits are more relaxed. Worcester County Jail applies the same dress code to both in-person and video visits. Pick clothing that would pass if you were walking into the facility.
- ✓ Nudity
- ✓ Sexual conduct
- ✓ Weapons
- ✓ Drugs
- ✓ Tight-fitting or provocative clothing
- Make sure you are on the pre-approval list - Only visitors on an inmate’s pre-approval list can schedule a video visit.
- Be the only person on camera - Only the pre-approved visitor should be on camera for the video visit.
