How to Send Money to Yakima County Jail, WA (WA)
Need to put money on someone's account at Yakima County Jail? The jail only accepts deposits through TouchPay, either online or at the lobby kiosk. Here's how it works and what gets turned away.
Yakima County Jail accepts inmate deposits only through TouchPay Online (website or mobile app) or the TouchPay kiosk in the Main Jail lobby. No other methods work. Cash, personal checks, payroll checks, and money orders are all turned away.
Note: Money put into an inmate’s trust account can be used for commissary, and it may also be applied toward fees or obligations the inmate owes, including medical expenses.
One exception: tribal per-capita checks can be mailed to the facility. Mark the envelope "Attention: Inmate Accounts" and include the inmate's full name and booking number.
Steps to Follow
- ✓ Use TouchPay Online (website or mobile app) to deposit money into an inmate’s trust account.
- ✓ Use the TouchPay kiosk in the Main Jail lobby as the in-person deposit option.
- ✓ Do not bring or send cash, personal checks, payroll checks, or money orders for deposits, they are not accepted.
