A Yancey County library card is free if you fall into one of these categories: you reside in Yancey County, own property in Yancey County, attend school in Yancey County, or work in Yancey County. This matters if you're "just visiting." You may still qualify for a free card without a local home address - say, if you work in the county, go to school here, or own property.
