How to Add Money to an Inmate's Account at Yellowstone County Detention: TRUST vs. COMMUNICATIONS
Yellowstone County Detention uses two separate accounts for inmate funds. Choosing the right one from the start ensures your person can actually use the money for what they need, whether that's commissary items or phone and video access.
The COMMUNICATIONS account covers staying in touch. It pays for phone time, extra video visits, and electronic messages.
These two accounts are completely separate. Want to fund commissary? Put money into TRUST. Want to cover calls, video visits, or messaging? Put money into COMMUNICATIONS.
Add money to the TRUST (commissary) account online through the Team3 Inmate Canteen site.
Prefer to pay in person? Use the Blue Kiosk in the detention facility lobby to fund the TRUST (commissary) account.
You can also mail in TRUST funds. Send a money order only (no cash or checks) made out to the inmate.
