How to schedule your first visit to Monroe Detention Center (call windows, cut-offs, and late arrivals)

Monroe Detention Center uses a strict phone signup window for in-person visits. Miss the call cut-off or show up late, and you could lose the visit for the entire week. Timing matters here.

How to schedule your first visit to Monroe Detention Center (call windows, cut-offs, and late arrivals)

The signup window is tight. Signups open at 7:00 AM and cut off at midnight the day before the visit. You can't schedule far in advance (calling Monday for a Thursday visit, for example, isn't allowed). Plan around that day-before cutoff and call within the allowed window.

  • Monday visits cut off Sunday at midnight
  • Tuesday visits cut off Monday at midnight
  • Wednesday visits cut off Tuesday at midnight
  • Thursday visits cut off Wednesday at midnight
  • Friday visits cut off Thursday at midnight

In-person non-contact visitation runs seven days a week, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. When you call, you're reserving a time within that 1:00 to 3:00 PM block.

Once you have an appointment, give yourself extra travel time and plan to arrive 30 minutes early. You'll need to check in with a valid United States government-issued photo ID or a valid passport.

Late arrivals: If you show up late, your visit will be cancelled. No exceptions.

Pick your visit time carefully. Once it's scheduled, you cannot change, reschedule, or modify it. If the visit gets cancelled for any reason, it still counts against the inmate as a used visit, no exceptions. That means a missed appointment can cost the only visit slot for the week.

  • Each inmate is allowed one 30-minute visit per week
  • Each visit is limited to two visitors
