Send money and tablet deposits: forms, timing, and limits
Connecticut DOC allows you to send funds even if you're not on the person's visiting list. To mail a money order, use the Inmate Trust Fund Remitter Form and send the money order to the Inmate Trust Fund at P.O. Box 290800, Wethersfield, CT 06129-0800. Include the incarcerated person's full name and correctional identification number on the money order, attach the completed remitter form, and don't include personal correspondence in the same envelope. Allow at least 10 working days for mailed money orders to post. Call 860-692-7670 with questions.
Connecticut DOC also offers a tablet media account option. Effective August 18, 2025, families and friends can deposit funds directly into an incarcerated person's tablet media account via JPay. Two limits to know: Securus/JPay won't process direct deposits into tablet media accounts for people with outstanding Prison Litigation Reform Act (PLRA) financial obligations, and tablet media account balances cannot exceed $150.
