Mail, photos, and the DOC central scanning process

In Delaware, non-legal mail goes through a central scanning process. All non-legal mail is opened at a central facility operated by Pigeonly Corrections, scanned into a digital color copy, then printed and delivered to the prison. The original physical mail is temporarily stored and then destroyed per DOC policy. Originals will not be returned to the sender. Plan your letters and photo prints with that in mind. Don't expect the originals back.
