Phone calls, CorrLinks (o-mail), and messaging basics

In the Iowa DOC system, your loved one cannot receive incoming phone calls. They must add your phone number to their approved calling list before they can call you. Iowa DOC lists local, intrastate, and interstate calls at $0.06 per minute.

Iowa DOC also offers CorrLinks "o-mail." Each o-mail costs $0.25 and is limited to 13,000 characters or 100 lines (about 2 pages). Credits for o-mail are handled separately from phone minutes. Iowa's inmate telephone fund is authorized by state law to be used for the benefit of inmates.
