Apply and schedule visits (in-person and video) using Ameelio
- Complete the visitor application on paper. Iowa DOC does not accept electronic visitor applications, you must print and sign the form.
- Mail your application to Central Records. Send it to Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility, Attn: Central Records, 1200 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, IA 52641.
- Submit separate applications for adults, list minors correctly. Each adult must submit their own application, and minors must be listed on a parent or legal guardian’s application.
- Schedule the visit in the Ameelio App after approval. Once you are approved, all Iowa DOC visits are scheduled through the Ameelio App.
- Choose in-person or video in the app. Iowa DOC offers both in-person and video visits at no cost to approved friends and family, and both types are arranged through Ameelio.
