Visitation: Applying, scheduling, and hours to expect

County jail schedules and remote-visit rules vary. Lewis and Clark County Detention Center offers in-person visitation on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with breaks for meals from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For remote video visits in Yellowstone County, you'll need an NCIC account. Inmates there receive two free remote visits per week using a tablet or kiosk.

Heads up: Yellowstone County states ministers must be approved by the Facility Chaplain and the inmate must request the visit. For juvenile detention in Missoula County, newly processed youth are held in isolation for 24 hours and are not available for parent/guardian visits until the following day.
