Phone calls and messaging: time limits, recording, and permitted numbers

RIDOC limits non-attorney phone calls to 20 minutes. Calls are recorded except for calls between inmates and attorneys or law enforcement agencies, and callers receive advance notice. If you are trying to get added to someone's phone list, inmates may have up to ten social numbers and five attorney numbers on their telephone list.

Tip: If you need inmate-specific or general facility information by phone without waiting, RIDOC and Securus list an automated service at 401-414-2871 (available 24/7).
