How visitation works and how to register
For WDOC prisons, visitation starts with statewide policy and visitor paperwork. WDOC publishes its inmate visiting policy (PP 5.400 Inmate Visiting) and provides WDOC Form 531 (Visitor Application) in English and Spanish. Additional forms may apply in specific situations: WDOC Form 532 (custodial consent), Form 533 (visiting room protocol), Form 534 (visiting rules), and Form 535 (visiting eligibility by status). Once approved, your visiting schedule depends on the facility. WDOC lists Wyoming Women's Center visitation on Saturdays and Sundays, 0700-1100 and 1145-1530.
Some county facilities use video visitation with separate windows for on-site and remote visits. Converse County Detention Center publishes an NCIC video visitation schedule: on-site visitation is Wednesdays and Thursdays 6PM-10:00PM, and Saturday and Sunday 9AM-4PM. Remote (offsite) visitation runs Monday to Friday 4PM-10:00PM and Saturday to Sunday 9AM-10:00PM. All on-site visitors must check in at the booking window with a valid photo ID.
- Create your NCIC account. Visitor registration is mandatory and is done at no cost through NCIC.
- Confirm whether you are visiting on-site or remotely. On-site and remote visitation can have different days and time windows.
- Bring your photo ID for on-site visits. On-site visitors are required to check in at the booking window with a valid photo ID before visiting.
Common Questions
Q
How do I register to visit an inmate who uses NCIC video visitation?
Registration is mandatory and is done at no cost through NCIC, using an internet-enabled device to create or log into your account. Once registered, pay attention to whether you are scheduling an on-site visit or a remote visit, because the facility may have different time windows for each.
