Lynchburg Detention Center organizes visitation by pod and program. Pods A/B and post-dispositional males visit Tuesday 6:00–7:00 pm and Sunday 1:00–2:00 pm. Pod C and post-dispositional females visit Thursday 6:00–7:00 pm and Sunday 4:00–5:00 pm. Community Placement Program (CPP) and Re-Entry Program visits run Wednesday 6:00–7:00 pm and Sunday 2:30–3:30 pm. CPP and Re-Entry visits allow two visitors per visitation day, though up to four may attend if pre-approved by the Department of Juvenile Justice. You must be a parent or legal guardian, show photo ID, and pass through a metal detector. Leave purses in the car if you're a female visitor, keep children supervised in the lobby, and don't bring outside food or drink. Never give items directly to a child during the visit.

This information is for families of youth in Lynchburg JDC's Community Placement Program (CPP) and the Re-Entry Program. Both programs share the same visitation schedule: Wednesday evenings from 6:00–7:00 pm and Sunday afternoons from 2:30–3:30 pm. If your child is in CPP or Re-Entry, these are your visit windows. Pay close attention to the program-specific visitor rules below—they differ from what applies to general detention visits.
