Farmington Correctional Center Visiting Hours and How Food Visits Work
Visiting at Farmington Correctional Center runs on a straightforward weekend schedule with two sessions each day. Planning to bring food for an incentive food visit? The key detail is which afternoon your visit falls on—only certain afternoons allow food.
FCC is open for visiting on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each visiting day is split into two sessions: 9:30am–1:30pm and 2:30pm–6:30pm.
When FCC labels a day as
The 2nd and 4th afternoon sessions are reserved for treatment offenders only. These aren't food-visit afternoons, so don't plan on bringing food during those times.
Food Rules
- ✓ For an authorized incentive food visit, you may bring a total of four containers.
- ✓ Containers for home-prepared or store-bought food must be no larger than 9 x 9 x 4 inches.
- ✓ Containers must be constructed of clear plastic only.
Food brought in during a visit can't be shared around the visiting room. FCC's rule: only the offender and their visitor may eat the food - no sharing with others.
- ✓ After the visit, leftover food must be discarded in the appropriate receptacles by the visitor, or removed from the facility with the visitor.
- Measure your containers at home - Stick to clear plastic containers that are no larger than 9 x 9 x 4 inches so you’re not turned away for the container itself.
- Pack within the container limit - Bring no more than four clear plastic containers, and keep your choices compact so everything fits the size requirement.
- Plan for leftovers and sharing rules - Be ready to throw away leftovers in the proper receptacles or take them out with you, and remember the food may only be consumed by you and the offender (no sharing with anyone else).
Tip: Before bringing food, confirm your visit falls on a 1st or 3rd afternoon session (2:30pm–6:30pm). The 2nd and 4th afternoons are for treatment offenders only - no food visits allowed.
