How to receive phone calls from someone at Farmington Correctional Center (set up Securus)

At Farmington Correctional Center, incarcerated individuals cannot receive incoming calls. You can't dial the facility and ask to be connected - your loved one has to call you. They can make outgoing calls as long as they're not on restricted status.

FCC phone calls run through a vendor system that handles collect calls, debit calls, or prepaid calls. When the call connects, you'll hear a recorded message letting you know it's coming from a correctional facility. Calls can be monitored and recorded.

Phone access depends on housing assignment. People in segregation units have limited telephone access, so calls may be less frequent. Don't try to work around the system - toll-free calls and three-way calls can result in disciplinary action.

FCC calls come through as collect, debit, or prepaid. Collect calls bill the person receiving them. Debit calls use funds on the caller's side. Prepaid calls use money you add ahead of time through Securus.

  1. Use the phone prompts to block the number - If you receive an unwanted call, follow the automated prompts during the call to block future calls to your residence.
  2. Contact the institution if the calls keep coming - If the calls continue, contact the institution right away and share as much detail as you can (including the offender’s PIN number, if you have it).
  3. Know what the facility can (and can’t) block - The institution can monitor and record calls, but they don’t have the ability to place a block on your outside phone line.
  4. Watch for carrier blocks - In some cases, your telephone company may automatically block calls if third-party calling is detected or there’s an unusual increase in your phone bill.

Need to stop calls or fix your setup? Contact Securus at securustech.net, 800-844-6591, or customerservice@securustech.net. Have your phone number and any account details ready.
