4 Ways to Put Money on an Inmate's Account at Adams County Jail (and who to call for help)
Trying to help someone at Adams County Jail? Here's the biggest thing to know upfront: phone money and commissary money are completely separate. Below are the four approved ways to add funds—plus who to call when something goes wrong.
Adams County Jail keeps two separate accounts: one for phone calls and "Chirping" through CTEL/CPC, and another for commissary. A deposit into one won't show up in the other. Before you pay, double-check that you're funding the right account for what your person actually needs.
Heads up: Phone/Chirping deposits (CTEL/CPC) and commissary deposits go to different accounts. Confirm which one you need before submitting payment.
For in-person commissary deposits, head to the kiosk at the east Jail Visitation entrance. It's available 24/7, so you don't need to work around business hours. Just enter the inmate's name and follow the prompts to add money.
- ✓ Credit/debit cards are accepted
- ✓ Cash is accepted
- ✓ Dollar bills are not accepted
You can add funds online through JailATM.com. One thing to know: money orders are no longer accepted at Adams County Jail. Use the kiosk or an online option instead.
InmateSales is another online option. You can add funds through their mobile app (available on Apple iOS and Android) or through the InmateSales website - whichever works better for you.
Need help with InmateSales? Call InmateSales customer service at 702-829-3001.
Need to add phone time specifically? Use the kiosk in the jail lobby designated for phone accounts. You can pay with cash or major credit cards. This is separate from commissary - use it when your goal is helping them make calls, not buy items.
Running into problems? Here's who to call. For help setting up an online account, try the Public Help line at 1-870-627-5476. For InmateSales issues, call their customer service at 702-829-3001. For anything related to inmate phone service - prepaid accounts, phone number blocking, service questions - contact CTEL/CPC at 1-877-998-5678. Adams County Jail doesn't manage the phone system directly.
Quick Tips
- ✓ Decide first: are you adding money for phone/Chirping (CTEL/CPC) or for commissary? They’re separate accounts.
- ✓ Don’t use money orders - money orders are no longer accepted.
- ✓ If you’re using the east-entrance kiosk for commissary, remember it takes credit/debit and cash, but it does not accept dollar bills.
