How to Address Mail to RSW Regional Jail: When to Use Greensboro vs. Front Royal
Sending regular personal mail to someone at RSW Regional Jail? Don't address it to Front Royal. Almost all incoming inmate mail goes to a third-party processing center - a P.O. Box in Greensboro, North Carolina. Two exceptions: legal/privileged mail and money orders. Both must go directly to the facility's street address in Front Royal, Virginia (not the Greensboro P.O. Box). Getting the address right matters - the processing center has different rules than the jail for what it will accept.
Mail sent to the Greensboro processing center gets scanned, then electronically forwarded to the facility for final review. Once screened, it's delivered to the inmate's tablet. The physical letter is destroyed after scanning - don't send anything you need returned.

Money orders go directly to the jail in Front Royal - address them to the "Inmate Accounts Clerk." Legal/privileged mail also bypasses Greensboro and goes straight to the facility's street address in Front Royal. Just make sure you mark it "Legal Mail" on the envelope.
Leave off the Facility ID, the inmate's ID number, their name, or the facility name? The processing center won't scan it. Your letter won't make it through. Before you drop it in the mailbox, take 30 seconds to check the envelope. Make sure you've got the Facility Name, the inmate's full name, their ID number, and the Facility ID (5258) written clearly.
