Arapahoe County Jail

Arapahoe County Detention Center offers virtual visits by phone, tablet, or computer—no need to travel to the facility. To schedule a non-attorney visit, head to the Viapath/GTL GettingOut site, confirm you're over 18, log in or create an account, then pick the inmate and an available time slot. Attorneys can visit in person anytime by showing their Attorney Bar Card and ID at the front desk. No appointment needed. For virtual attorney visits, have your Bar Card and ID ready and email attorneyvisitation@arapahoegov.com to arrange the meeting. Keep in mind: visits are only available for people currently in custody at the Arapahoe County Detention Center. You'll need to complete the facility's approval process, and staff can deny or end visits at their discretion.

Arapahoe County Detention Facility runs phone and video services through GTL. Incarcerated people receive GTL GettingOut tablets for messaging and multimedia access. To receive calls, you have two options: set up a Prepaid (AdvancePay) account or accept Collect calls. For AdvancePay, create and fund your account at www.ConnectNetwork.com or through the free ConnectNetwork mobile app. Make sure the phone number you want to receive calls on is linked to that AdvancePay account—calls only go to the linked number. Arapahoe County Jail doesn't deliver original paper mail. Instead, your letters, pictures, and drawings get scanned and delivered digitally to the inmate on ViaPath tablets through the Facility Messages app (free profile). Address your envelope with the facility name, the inmate's full name, and their booking/admit identifier. Mail goes to P.O. Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131. Staff process and distribute incoming mail Monday through Friday, excluding county holidays. They may censor or reject anything suspected of containing contraband or plans for criminal activity. A few things to know: original photographs, computer-generated photos, and internet material aren't allowed (effective Dec 1, 2022). Inmate-to-inmate correspondence is prohibited. Non-legal envelopes larger than 8×10 inches and parcels—packages, boxes, books, magazines—need pre-approval through the Mail Technician.

To get someone released from Arapahoe County Jail, you only need to pay the bond amount set in the case. Bond fees, booking fees, and other debts don't have to be paid to post a money bond. After release, the jail can charge just two bond-related fees: a $10 bond fee and, if you pay by card, a processing fee capped at 3.5%. Make bond payments out to the holding county—never in the incarcerated person's name. When you post bond, you're entitled to a copy of the bond paperwork, including documentation of the next court date.
