You still need to apply, though. Arizona DOC requires everyone - whether you want in-person visits or just phone calls - to submit the Application to Visit an Inmate electronically.
- Decide if you’re truly phone-only - If you’re not trying to visit in person or by video and only want calls, you’re applying for phone privileges.
- Complete the Application to Visit an Inmate electronically - Arizona DOC uses the same electronic application process for potential visitors and phone-only call recipients.
- Submit anything the application requires on time - If there are applicable fees or required supporting documents for your situation, they need to be received within 30 days of your application date or the application will be treated as incomplete and won’t be processed.
Fee reminder: Phone-only applicants skip the $25 background check fee. But if your application requires any other fees or supporting documents, submit them within 30 days - otherwise your application won't be processed.
Timing heads-up: Don't submit your application while the inmate is still going through intake at Alhambra or Perryville.
