How to Send Mail to an Inmate at ASPC-Y Dakota After Dec 15, 2025

Starting December 15, 2025, ADCRR routes most incoming personal mail through a digital mail platform. Letters, photos, and greeting cards go to a centralized processing center, where they're scanned and uploaded for the inmate to view on a secure tablet. Legal mail, parcels, publications, and official government mail are exceptions - those follow different rules. Packages have their own timeline and destination. Beginning January 7, 2026, packages must go to ADCRR's centralized package address in Phoenix, not the Dallas P.O. Box.

After December 15, 2025, personal mail for someone at ASPC‑Y Dakota - letters, photos, greeting cards - goes to ADCRR's Digital Processing Center in Texas. Include the inmate's full first and last name, ADCRR number, prison complex, and assigned unit on the envelope so it routes correctly. Packages go somewhere different than personal mail - don't send them to the Dallas P.O. Box. Before the centralized digital mail change, Dakota's mailing address was a San Luis P.O. Box: P.O. Box 8909, San Luis, AZ 85349. If you have this saved from past letters, update it now. Once digital mail goes live, personal mail should go to the Dallas processing center instead. There's a short grace period during the transition where mis-sent items may still get handled, but updating your address book now is the safest way to avoid delays.
