How to Send Mail to Someone at ASPC Yuma — Cibola Unit After Dec 15, 2025
Starting December 15, 2025, personal mail for someone at ASPC Yuma - Cibola Unit no longer goes to the unit's local P.O. Box. Instead, personal letters, greeting cards, and photos must be sent to ADCRR's Digital Processing Center in Texas: PO Box 211309, Dallas, TX 75211.
What
Not everything goes through digital mail. Legal mail, packages, publications, and official government documents like checks are handled separately - they follow different mailing instructions than personal letters and photos.
- ✓ Packages (effective Jan 7, 2026): Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry, 801 E Jefferson Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034
- ✓ Publications (effective Jan 7, 2026): Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry, 801 E Jefferson Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034
- ✓ Official government mail (Veterans, Social Security, or Disability checks) (effective Jan 7, 2026): ADCRR Inmate Trust Accounts Section, 1802 W Jackson Street, #161, Phoenix, AZ 85007
You might still see the older Cibola Unit address listed in some places. That pre-digital address is: Inmate Name and ADC #, P.O. Box 8909, San Luis, AZ 85349.
After December 15, 2025, personal mail should go to the Digital Processing Center in Texas - not the local Cibola Unit P.O. Box. Using the Dallas address ensures your mail gets processed correctly under ADCRR's new system.
When addressing the envelope, include your loved one's full first and last name along with their ADCRR number. These identifiers are required so the processing center can match the mail to the right person.
Double-check before you seal it: If the envelope is missing the inmate number, full name, or the correct address, the mail will be returned to the sender.
ADCRR is giving families a transition window. From December 15, 2025 through January 15, 2026, if personal mail accidentally goes to a prison complex instead of the Digital Processing Center, ADCRR says it will still be processed and delivered during that one-month grace period.
That grace period ends January 15, 2026. After that date, personal mail sent to the wrong address will be returned to sender.
- Write the full name and ADCRR number - Put your loved one’s full first and last name plus their ADCRR number on the address label.
- Use the Digital Processing Center address - Send personal letters, greeting cards, and photos to PO Box 211309, Dallas, TX 75211.
- Review the envelope before mailing - A quick re-check for the correct name/number and address can save you a returned letter.
- ✓ If you want the original physical mail back after it’s scanned, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope inside your correspondence.
- ✓ Original mail that is digitally scanned is stored by ADCRR’s contracted provider for 90 days, then professionally disposed of.
Last check: Missing the inmate’s full name, ADCRR number, or the correct address can lead to your mail being returned to you.
