How to Schedule Your First Visit at Baldwin Prison (step-by-step)
Visits at Baldwin Prison are by appointment only. You can't just show up - you'll need to schedule ahead of time through the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Before you can schedule anything, you need to become an approved visitor. Fill out the Visitation Request Form and submit it to Baldwin Prison. Once approved, you can request an actual visit appointment.
Once you're on the approved list, request your appointment through the GDC visitation form. This is the required method for scheduling visits at Baldwin Prison. When you submit, the system places you into an available slot based on facility rules and deadlines. Planning a weekend or holiday visit? Submit early - requests still need to be in before the cutoff. Think of first-time scheduling as two steps: get approved first (Visitation Request Form to the facility), then request your appointment (GDC scheduled-visit form).
Step3 Deadlines
- ✓ For weekend visits, submit your visitation request by 5:00 PM on Wednesday of the same week.
- ✓ For state-holiday visits, submit your visitation request by 5:00 PM three days before the holiday.
- Add additional visitors to an existing appointment - If you already have a scheduled visit but need to include more people, use the “Add Visitor” option to find your scheduled visitation and add visitors to that visit.
- Cancel a scheduled visit you can’t make - If you need to cancel, use the “Cancel my visit” option to find your scheduled visitation and cancel it.
