How Attorneys Register for Kentucky’s Legal Mail Portal (Relevant to Bell County Camp)

Start by going to https://lmp.vendengine.com/visitor_login.php?jail_id=2516 in your web browser. This is where you'll create your attorney account for Bell County Camp in Kentucky's Legal Mail Portal.

Click the "Create Account" button on the Legal Mail Portal page. This launches the registration flow and prompts you to enter your information for review.

You'll need to upload proof of licensure in good standing from any jurisdiction. The portal accepts images or PDFs. Make sure the document comes from your Bar Association and clearly shows your current status.

The portal requires phone verification. You can receive the code by text or phone call, and either an office number or cell phone works.

After you submit your account, Kentucky Department of Corrections reviews your registration. Approval or rejection comes by email. If rejected, the email explains why, and you can update your submission and try again.

Once approved, you'll receive a Mail ID Number in the Legal Mail Portal. Don't be surprised if it starts with a letter rather than a digit.

When you set or update your portal password, it must meet the system requirements: at least 8 characters, at least one lowercase letter, and at least one number.
