How to Read Bell County Camp's Color‑Coded Visitation Calendar (odd/even ID rules)
Bell County Camp assigns visitation weekends based on a simple odd/even rule tied to the incarcerated person's ID number. Once you figure out which color matches your loved one's ID, reading the calendar is straightforward—and you'll know exactly which weekend to request.
The calendar assigns weekends based on the last digit of the incarcerated person's ID number. If it ends in an odd number, you visit on YELLOW weekends. Even number? RED weekends. That's the whole system. Match the last digit to the color, find those weekends on the calendar, and you're set.
Note: The YELLOW (odd) and RED (even) rule is printed directly on the facility’s official 2026 visitation schedule PDF calendar.
The colors don't indicate different hours - they show which weekends you're eligible to visit based on the inmate ID's last digit. Find a YELLOW weekend if the ID ends in an odd number, or a RED weekend if it ends in an even number. Those are the weekends you can request. Visits happen Saturdays and Sundays between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Use the calendar to identify your eligible weekend first, then pick one of the available visit sessions.
- ✓ Saturday and Sunday visitation (within 9:00 am–2:00 pm)
- ✓ Session 1: 9:00 am–11:00 am
- ✓ Session 2: 12:00 pm–2:00 pm
- Find the last digit of the inmate ID number - you only need the final number.
- Match the digit to the color - odd last digit = YELLOW weekends; even last digit = RED weekends.
- Use that color on the calendar to pick weekends - request visits only on weekends in your loved one’s color.
Getting this right matters when you're scheduling. Request a date on the wrong color weekend for your loved one's ID, and you won't match the facility's assigned visitation schedule. Check the calendar first - YELLOW for odd-ending IDs, RED for even-ending IDs. Then submit your request by email at least 7 days in advance, which is Bell County Camp's requirement.
- Confirm the inmate ID parity - odd-ending IDs visit on YELLOW weekends; even-ending IDs visit on RED weekends.
- Pick an eligible weekend and session time - visits are scheduled in the 9:00 am–11:00 am or 12:00 pm–2:00 pm session.
- Email your request - send your visitation request to bcfc.visitation@ky.gov.
- Send it at least 7 days ahead - requests must be submitted 7 days in advance.
Note: Arrive 15 minutes early for processing and screening: 8:45 am for the 9:00–11:00 session, and 11:45 am for the 12:00–2:00 session.
For the official color coding, check Bell County Camp's published 2026 visitation schedule PDF. That's where the facility marks YELLOW weekends for odd-ending IDs and RED weekends for even-ending IDs.
