Belmont County Jail Visits: Two Free 25-Minute Visits Per Day, Schedule, Kids & Attorney Rules
Visiting someone at Belmont County Jail is straightforward once you know the limits. Here's how the two free daily visits work, how long each session lasts, and the rules for kids, attorneys, and clergy.
Inmates at Belmont County Jail can receive two free on-site visits per day. If you're planning regular visits, this is the limit to work around.
The jail also offers unlimited off-site visits for a fee. These can still be suspended for disciplinary reasons, and family visits may be restricted if rules aren't followed. If your loved one is on disciplinary status, their visiting access is limited to the late-night window described below.
Every visit lasts 25 minutes. That's the standard across all visitation types. Plan ahead for what you want to cover, especially if multiple family members want time to talk.
Note: All visitations are subject to audio and/or video monitoring and recording. Keep conversations focused on support and logistics, and avoid discussing anything you would not want replayed.
Daily Windows
- ✓ 7:00–10:30 am
- ✓ 1:00–3:30 pm
- ✓ 5:00–8:30 pm
- ✓ 10:00–10:30 pm
Visitation windows run daily, Sunday through Saturday, for both on-site and off-site visits. If you want to avoid feeling rushed, pick a time block where you can get settled before your 25 minutes begin.
Inmates on disciplinary status can only receive visits during a late-night window: 11:00 pm to 1:30 am. If daytime slots aren't available, this is the schedule to ask about.
Kids under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No exceptions. Plan for the parent or guardian to stay for the entire visit.
Attorneys of record and certified clergy members can visit during reasonable daytime and evening hours. Schedule with the jail ahead of time and bring proper identification. Coordinating in advance prevents getting turned away at the door.
