Blackburn's Dress Code for Visitors: what to wear and what happens if you don't comply
Blackburn Corrections Complex can turn you away for clothing that doesn't meet its dress code. Not sure what counts as acceptable? Here are the rules they check at the door — and what happens if your outfit doesn't pass.
Blackburn's shirt rules are simple: cover your shoulders, cleavage, and midriff completely. Undergarments are required, and they can't be visible - not through your clothing, and not when you move. To avoid problems at check-in, pick a top that stays put when you sit, stand, and reach. Make sure everything underneath stays hidden.
Hats, caps, bandanas, scarves, and hoods aren't allowed. Religious head coverings are permitted, but expect them to be searched during the normal security process. If you wear one, plan for that extra step. Skip non-religious headwear entirely to avoid getting flagged at the entrance.
- Staff identify the dress-code issue - if your clothing doesn’t meet the rules, they’ll stop you at the gate/check-in.
- You’re given a chance to fix it - when it’s possible, you may be allowed to correct the problem by changing clothes or covering up.
- Entry is denied if you can’t correct it - if you can’t make your outfit compliant, you won’t be allowed in for the visit.
