Understanding Physical Contact Rules at Blackburn: embrace boxes, seating, and inmate items

Physical contact at Blackburn is limited to the start and end of your visit. You can kiss and embrace your loved one once when you arrive and once when you leave. Brief contact like holding hands is also only allowed during these moments. Location matters. All physical contact must happen in the designated black square "embrace boxes" and stay within the bounds of good taste. Think of your greeting and goodbye as your two windows for contact - the rest of the visit, expect to keep your distance.

Reminder: Kisses, embraces, and other brief contact are only allowed at the beginning and end of the visit - and only in the black square embrace boxes, within the bounds of good taste.

You won't be able to sit beside your loved one during the visit. Expect assigned seating with a face-to-face setup rather than side-by-side.

Plan ahead: You'll be seated across from each other, not next to each other. Go in expecting a face-to-face conversation.
