Bolivar County Jail Zone Visitation Schedule: Which Days & Times for C1–C5, S1–S6, Intake, and Green/White

Bolivar County uses a zone-based visitation schedule, meaning visits are tied to where the person is housed (C-dorms, S-dorms, Intake, and other groupings) rather than a single set of daily visiting hours. The facility has published a zone-specific schedule with set Tuesdays for county dorms and Saturdays for other dorms and groups; because housing assignments and facility operations can change, it’s smart to verify the day and time before you travel.

For county men housed in Dormitories C1, C2, C3, and Intake, visitation is scheduled on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

If the person you’re visiting is in County Holding or Dormitory C4, their visiting time is also on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, but in the late-morning block: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Dormitory C5 (county female) visitation is on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., which is the afternoon block on the county schedule.

Dormitories S1 and S2 visit on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you’re trying to plan around work or a long drive, this is the morning Saturday window for those two dorms.

Dormitory S3 is also on the 1st and 3rd Saturday rotation, but with an afternoon time slot: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Dormitory S4 visits on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. That means S4 doesn’t share the same Saturdays as S1–S3, even though the time window is similar to the morning slot.

Dormitory S5 is scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, with visits from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Plan for the afternoon block on those Saturdays.

One detail that can save you a wasted trip: for Dormitory S6, the posted rule says that if someone is moved from a zone, they will visit on the days and times of the previous zone. If you’ve recently heard they were transferred, confirm which zone’s schedule applies before you show up.

The schedule also lists a general Saturday visiting window for all green/white inmates: every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In addition, joint county-state visits are listed as every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The zone visitation schedule document is marked effective February 7, 2017.

On the schedule PDF itself, the signature line is labeled “Warden Starks.” Separately, the facility webpage lists Brenda Cox as Warden, so leadership information may have changed since the schedule was issued - another reason it’s worth confirming the current visitation details before you go.

Verify Before You Go

  • Call the facility before you travel to confirm the day and time for the person’s current dorm/zone.
  • Ask staff to confirm whether the person has been moved recently, since moves can affect which zone’s visiting days/times apply.
  • If you’re visiting on a Saturday, confirm whether your loved one falls under a dorm schedule (S1–S5), the green/white group, or joint county-state.
  • Double-check whether anything is different for the specific date you’re planning (for example, schedule changes around holidays or facility operations).
