Visiting Boone County Jail: Which Days, When to Arrive, and How Long Visits Last
If you’re planning an on-site video visit at Boone County Jail, time your arrival carefully: visitors aren’t allowed into the jail lobby until 6:45 a.m. Even if visitation starts at 7:00 a.m., you won’t be able to line up inside before that lobby opening time.
One posted schedule for the main jail organizes on-site video visitation by last name. Inmates with last names starting A–M can receive visits on Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Weekday visits are capped at 30 minutes per inmate, so plan for a half-hour once your session begins.
Under that same alphabetical schedule, inmates with last names starting N–Z visit on Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The 30-minute limit applies here too.
Saturday visitation runs from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for all prisoners. These visits are shorter than weekday sessions - just 15 minutes per inmate.
Note: Another statement on the same site lists visitation as Wednesday 6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. (30 minutes per inmate) and Saturday 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (15 minutes). Because the posted schedules don’t fully match, verify your visit time before you travel.
Regardless of which day applies to your person, Boone County Jail requires on-site video visits to be scheduled in advance. You can book through iWebVisit or visit the main jail public lobby on visitation days to schedule in person.
Only one adult visitor (18 or older) is allowed in the visitation room at a time. If multiple people want to see the inmate, you'll need to rotate.
- ✓ The inmate’s total visit time can be shared by no more than three (3) individuals.
Mask required: Everyone entering the jail must wear a face mask the entire time they are inside, regardless of vaccination status.
Before you rearrange work, childcare, or a long drive, double-check the visitation schedule. The jail's posted information has some overlap - one section lists Tuesday (A–M) and Thursday (N–Z) from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., plus Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for all prisoners. Another section lists Wednesday evenings (6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.) and Saturday mornings. Since those don't fully line up, confirming your exact day and time before you travel can save you from showing up at the wrong time.
- Confirm your scheduled slot - if you booked through iWebVisit, rely on your reservation details so you’re following the time you actually secured.
- Call iWebVisit customer care - for questions about the video visit service, contact customer care at 775-434-8748.
- If you’re scheduling in person, verify in the lobby on visitation days - the jail allows advance scheduling by visiting the main jail public lobby during visitation days, which is also a good time to confirm the current schedule before you commit to a trip.
