The facility keeps meal money under tight control. All payments go into a secured, locked box - nothing gets left out or mixed with other funds.
- Transfer the meal money each business day - Collected meal funds must be turned over to the Fiscal Manager or Fiscal Officer every business day.
After the daily transfer, funds remain secured in a locked box or safe until they're deposited or sent to the Fiscal Branch.
The facility also tracks who eats. Boyd Co Detention Center maintains a daily meal log for all staff and visitors.
