How to Send Cash to an Inmate at Butler County Jail (CashPay / Access Corrections)

CashPay now routes new registrations through Access Corrections as of August 1, 2025. If you've used CashPay before and the screens look different, that's why. Take a minute to confirm you're on the current registration path before depositing cash.

Register before you go to any retail CashPay location. You'll need to set up both yourself (the sender) and the person receiving the funds. Show up without completing registration, and you won't have what you need to finish the payment at the register.

1. Get your payment barcode ready - have the barcode available to show at the register (on your phone or printed).
2. Tell the clerk you’re making a Vanilla Direct Pay bill payment - this helps the cashier route the transaction correctly.
3. Present the barcode - show the barcode at the cash register so it can be scanned.
4. State the amount you’re sending - tell the clerk exactly how much cash you want to deposit.
5. Complete the payment and keep your receipt - hold onto the receipt in case you need to confirm the transaction later.
