Want to deposit cash in person through CashPay for someone at Butler County Jail? New sign-ups now go through Access Corrections. Here are the exact steps, including how to get the barcode you'll need at the register.
CashPay's registration process changed. As of August 1, 2025, new CashPay registrations go through Access Corrections' website. Access Corrections also offers services beyond deposits, including sending money quickly and securely, posting bail remotely, and making parole or probation payments.
Note: Registering for the first time on or after August 1, 2025? You'll be directed to complete your registration through Access Corrections' website.
Handle registration before you head to any payment location. You need to register both yourself and the recipient (the person you're sending money to) before you can make deposits or payments in person.
- ✓ Register yourself as the sender before you go to a payment location
- ✓ Register the recipient(s) you want to send money to before you go to a payment location
- Go to a participating retail payment location - You’ll be making a Vanilla Direct Pay bill payment at the register.
- Present your barcode at the cash register - The clerk uses the barcode to pull up the correct payment.
- Tell the clerk the amount you are sending - The amount you state is what will be processed for the payment.
Reminder: Haven't registered yourself and your recipient yet? Do that before you get in line. The retail payment step assumes your registration is already complete and tied to the right recipient.
Need the barcode on your phone? Text your consumer ID to 502-410-3373, and your payment barcode will be sent to your smartphone.
Heads up: New registrations moved to Access Corrections as of August 1, 2025. No matter where you plan to pay, register yourself and the recipient(s) first.
Comparing your options? Access Corrections bundles several money-related services in one place: sending money quickly and securely, posting bail payments from anywhere, and making parole or probation payments.
