Visitation

All in-person visits at Centralia Correctional Center are scheduled online through the IDOC SignUpGenius system. Complete your reservation before it times out after 30 minutes of inactivity. You must be on the incarcerated person's approved visitor list. They typically add visitors by writing, and staff cannot confirm visitor-list status by phone. For your first visit, adult visitors need to complete the Prospective Visitor's Interview (PVI) form DOC 0148 unless you already have electronic approval. Bring two forms of identification (one must be a state-issued photo ID) and be ready to provide vehicle information when you arrive. Expect searches, COVID-19 symptom and temperature screening, surgical masks when required, and lockers for permitted items. Electronics, food, bags, and other personal property are restricted.

Communication

Centralia Correctional Center uses ICSolutions for video visits. You'll need to register with ICSolutions to schedule them, and having a GTL Visitor ID can speed up approval. Video visits are monitored and recorded. Attorney-client privilege does not apply, and staff can terminate a visit for inappropriate conduct. During a video visit, do not display nudity and do not record or film the session (including by a third party). Violations can end the visit immediately. Phone calls can be funded two ways: through an ICSolutions Friends & Family prepaid account, or using money in the incarcerated person's commissary or trust account. Outbound calls display caller ID (618) 952-2622. Electronic messages to people in custody (except ATCs) go through ICSolutions' Corrlinks and are screened and monitored.

Sending Money

Centralia Correctional Center accepts funds through JPay, Western Union (Send2Corrections), MoneyGram, and mailed JPay money orders sent to the vendor lockbox. Electronic deposits allow up to $5,000 per transaction, while MoneyGram caps at $3,000 per transaction. Money orders are accepted up to $999.99. Make them payable to JPay, include the required deposit slip, and mail to PO Box 260250, Hollywood, FL 33026. Before submitting any payment, double-check the incarcerated person's full name and booking or ID number (or date of birth) so the money posts to the correct account. Electronic deposits usually post faster than mailed money orders. Keep in mind that new funds may be applied to outstanding balances or debts before they're available for commissary use.
