Setting Up and Using Video Visits with Someone at Centralia (ICSolutions): Registration, Scheduling, and Rules
Video visits at Centralia run through ICSolutions, and getting set up is mostly about registering correctly and following the on-camera rules. Here's what the vendor change means, how to register, how scheduling works, and what can get a visit cut short.
Centralia's video visitation provider switched from GTL to ICSolutions as part of a statewide IDOC transition. Even if you used GTL before, you'll need to get set up with ICSolutions now. To schedule a video visit, friends and family must register with ICSolutions. Without that registration on the visitor side, you won't be able to schedule visits for Centralia through the old system.
Start by creating an ICSolutions account for yourself. Once you're registered, one detail can save you some time. If you previously visited through GTL, ICSolutions lets you enter your old GTL Visitor ID during registration. IDOC recommends doing this to help speed up the approval process. Don't remember your GTL Visitor ID? You can still register, but you won't get the benefit of that shortcut.
Video visits are scheduled through the visitor's ICSolutions account. You (the visitor) handle scheduling on your end, rather than relying on the incarcerated person's account. If you're troubleshooting a "can't schedule" situation, start on the visitor side. Your ICSolutions login, account status, and scheduling access are at the center of the process.
All video visits at Centralia are monitored live and recorded. By using video visitation and accepting the rules, you're consenting to both audio and video recording. Keep that in mind when planning your conversation. Attorney-client privilege does not apply to video visitation through ICSolutions.
Termination warning: A video visit can be ended immediately, with or without warning, for any violation of visitation rules, inappropriate conduct, or inappropriate language.
Stay seated: Any video visit where you're not stationary in a seated position will be terminated.
