Butler County Jail Visitation Schedule (A–J Saturday, K–Z Sunday) — Times, Length, and Rules

Butler County Jail divides weekend visits by the inmate's last name. A–J visits on Saturday. K–Z visits on Sunday. Before making plans, confirm the inmate's last name as it appears in jail records, then pick the right day. From there, you'll choose one of the session blocks the jail offers.

Visiting session times: 9:00 am–11:00 am, 1:00 pm–5:00 pm, and 7:00 pm–9:00 pm.

Each inmate gets one 30-minute visit on their assigned day. Even though multiple session blocks are available, the visit itself is capped at thirty minutes.

Heads up: Visitation can be temporarily suspended if facility circumstances require it.

Each inmate's visitation list is limited to three people. If you're not one of those three, you won't be allowed to visit - even on the right day and time.

Timing matters. Inmates can't change their visitation list until they've been at the facility for 30 days. If your name isn't on the list yet, that waiting period affects when you can be added.

After any change, there's another 30-day wait before the next one. So once a swap happens, that list is locked for a while.

Changes to the visitation list - additions, deletions, swaps - require a Request for Visitor Form. These forms are available in each housing unit, so the inmate has to initiate the request from inside.

The form requirement and the 30-day rules work together. Even with a form ready, the inmate can't make changes until they've been at the facility for 30 days. After a change goes through, another 30-day wait kicks in before the next update. Planning a first visit? Talk with your loved one early about who the three approved visitors will be. Changes aren't instant, and you can't make them back-to-back.

When you arrive, you must be on the inmate's approved visitation list. If you're not listed or not approved, expect to be turned away - even if you're there on the right day during the right session.
