Setting Up Video Visits at Chippewa: Step-by-Step (GTL)

You must already be on the prisoner's Approved Visitor List before you can request a video visit at Chippewa. Video visit requests only become available once the facility has begun online scheduling - being approved is the first step, and there's no way around it.

1. Go to the GTL Visitor website - use the GTL Visitor site as your starting point for account setup.
2. Create your GTL Visitor account - set up your account as the approved visitor so GTL can tie requests to your identity.
3. Complete any required account prompts - follow the on-screen instructions until your account setup is finished.

1. Request to visit the prisoner at their assigned facility - inside your GTL Visitor account, select the correct facility and the person you want to visit.
2. Wait for GTL approval if prompted - once you’re approved on the GTL site, you’ll be able to request scheduled video visits for prisoners at that facility.
3. Submit the visit request through GTL - follow the GTL prompts to finish the request.

Video visits are 20 minutes long. Plan around that fixed length so you're ready to start on time and can make the most of your conversation.
