In-person visiting hours at Chippewa Valley: when you can visit and how many times per week
Planning an in-person visit at Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment Facility (CVCTF)? Visiting hours are concentrated on weekends, with specific time slots and clear limits on how often someone can receive visits.
On Fridays, in-person visiting hours run from 2:45pm to 9:00pm.
Saturdays have the longest window: 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Sundays are 8:00am to 6:00pm.
On holidays, visiting hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm. The exception: if the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, regular weekend hours apply instead.
Each person in the facility (PIOC) can receive up to two in-person visits per day.
There's also a weekly cap: six in-person visits maximum per PIOC. The facility counts the week as Monday through Sunday.
Before scheduling a visit, confirm you're eligible. CVCTF requires visitors to complete a Visitor Questionnaire (DOC-21AA) and be on the PIOC's approved visiting list.
Being on the approved list is step one. You'll still need to pass through entrance screening before being allowed into the facility.
Practical Tips
- ✓ Use the weekend schedule to plan travel: Friday 2:45pm–9:00pm, Saturday 8:00am–8:00pm, Sunday 8:00am–6:00pm.
- ✓ If you’re aiming for a holiday visit, plan around 9:00am–3:00pm holiday hours, unless the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday.
- ✓ Build your plan around visit limits: up to two in-person visits per day for each PIOC.
- ✓ Keep the weekly limit in mind if multiple people want to visit. Each PIOC can receive a maximum of six in-person visits per week (Monday through Sunday).
- Confirm you completed DOC-21AA: CVCTF requires the Visitor Questionnaire (DOC-21AA) to be completed ahead of time.
- Make sure you’re on the approved visiting list: You must be on the PIOC-approved visiting list before you can schedule a visit.
- Don’t travel until those are true: If you’re not approved yet, wait to make the trip until the paperwork and approval are in place.
Arrive a little early. CVCTF lets visitors check in up to 10 minutes before their scheduled visit, giving you time for screening and entry procedures.
Tip: If multiple family members want to visit, track the limits carefully. Each PIOC can receive up to two visits per day and six per week (Monday through Sunday).
