How to Visit Facility
Visiting someone at Christian County Jail, KY takes a little planning. On-site visits must be scheduled ahead of time, so follow the steps below to get set up and avoid a wasted trip.
On-site visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. You're responsible for making the request yourself, so don't show up hoping to be worked in.
You'll need to create an account on the HomeWAV website before you can attend an on-site visit. Set up your account early so you're not scrambling the day before.
Note: Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who has a valid HomeWAV account.
Christian County Jail allows up to two on-site visits per inmate, per day. Keep that limit in mind if you're trying to visit more than once or coordinating with other family members.
On-site visits run in three daily time blocks: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. You'll pick a slot within one of those windows when you schedule.
Attorney visitation hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visits outside those times require permission and must be scheduled through the Captain of the jail.
Attorney visits take place on the second floor, behind Judge Johnson's courtroom, in the hallway visitation rooms. Enter the Judicial Building at the front door and tell the Campus Security Deputy who you're visiting. The deputy will escort you to a room if one is available. During the visit, inmates are escorted in when called and secured to a bull ring in the wall per facility security protocol.

- ✓ Plan around the limit of up to two on-site visits per inmate, per day.
- Plan for the standard attorney hours - Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Arrange permission if you need a different time - Visits outside those hours require permission and scheduling through the Captain of the jail.

Note: If a minor is visiting, make sure the accompanying adult has a valid HomeWAV account before you schedule. Minors cannot visit on-site without an adult who meets this requirement.
Before you make the drive, confirm the facility still requires 24-hour advance scheduling. This policy can change, and scheduling rules are often enforced strictly.
Double-check the HomeWAV account requirement, especially if you're bringing a child. If an adult needs to accompany someone under 18, confirm that adult's account will be accepted for the visit.
Verify the exact visitation times and confirm the limit of two on-site visits per inmate, per day. The windows are set, but small changes can affect which slot works for you.
For attorney visits, confirm the Monday through Friday schedule and the permission process for after-hours visits (through the jail Captain). Check where rooms are available on the day you arrive, and confirm the procedure at the Judicial Building front door with Campus Security. Access and room availability can affect your timing.
