How Attorneys Can Set Up Do-Not-Record Video Visits for Cimarron Clients (ViaPath)
  1. Create your ViaPath account - Set up your attorney account through ViaPath’s website at www.gettingout.com. This account needs to exist before you can be added to an inmate’s contact list for video visitation at Cimarron.
  2. Upload your required documents during setup - During the account setup process, upload (a) a copy of a government-issued photo ID and (b) a copy of your state-issued bar association card. If those uploads aren’t in place, the request won’t be approved and video visits will continue to be subject to recording and monitoring.

After your ViaPath account is created and your ID and bar card are uploaded, submit your attorney verification request by email to corecivic@praesescsd.atlassian.net. Send it from an official legal email address and on company letterhead, and include the inmate’s first and last name, inmate ID, the facility, your first and last name, your phone number, your address, and your bar number.

Once your credentials are verified, your ViaPath visitor profile will be flagged “Do Not Record or Monitor.” You’ll also receive a verification confirmation email, and the facility will receive the same confirmation.

Practical Tips

  • Create your ViaPath account first; you can’t be added to a Cimarron inmate’s contact list for video visits until that account exists.
  • Upload both required documents during setup (government-issued photo ID and state bar card). If either is missing, the verification won’t be approved and visits will remain recorded/monitored.
  • Email the verification request to corecivic@praesescsd.atlassian.net from an official legal email address and on company letterhead.
  • Include all required identifiers in the email (inmate name and ID, facility, and your contact details and bar number) so the request doesn’t stall.
  • Save the verification confirmation email in your client file; it’s your proof that your ViaPath profile was flagged “Do Not Record or Monitor.”
