Visiting Cimarron: Who Can Visit, What You Can Bring, and How to Schedule RHU/Seg Visits
Visiting rules can feel like a moving target — especially when your loved one's custody status changes. This guide will help you plan your trip to Cimarron with fewer surprises at the door.
For USMS detainees at Cimarron, the maximum is three visitors at one time during Visitation 1, 2, 3, and 4. But here's the catch: the facility can limit that number based on available space. A "three-person max" doesn't always mean three people will get in together.
For ICE detainees, the limit is different: up to two adults and two children at one time. Plan your group around that cap so you don't end up swapping people in and out at check-in.
Note: Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when visiting at Cimarron.
Bringing kids? Cimarron requires anyone under 18 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If the adult bringing the child isn't the parent or legal guardian, sort that out before you arrive - minors can't visit on their own.

If you accidentally show up with small prohibited items, Cimarron has lockers for storage. Still, you'll save yourself time and stress by leaving anything questionable at home or locked in your car.
- Plan ahead if your loved one is in RHU/SEG - visits for restricted housing/segregation must be scheduled through the Visitation Sergeant.
- Schedule through the Visitation Sergeant - don’t rely on showing up and hoping there’s an opening; get the RHU/SEG visit set up through that office first.

- ✓ Confirm whether your loved one is USMS or ICE so you plan around the right visitor limit (USMS: up to 3 at a time; ICE: up to 2 adults and 2 children).
- ✓ If you’re bringing anyone under 18, make sure they’re coming with a parent or guardian.
- ✓ Leave prohibited items at home (especially phones and other electronics), or be ready to use the on-site lockers for small items.
- ✓ Keep your group small and flexible in case space limits reduce how many people can go in at once.
Reminder: For USMS visits, the number of people allowed in may depend on space availability that day.
